Pickle Barrel Newmarket

Food is lacking big time here. We ordered nachos plate and the cheese was not melted. Literally shredded and thrown on. We sent it back so they can melt it and they sent it back pretty much the same way, so we decided to just send it back altogether. Also ordered the Manhattan steak medium rare and they brought it out with parts that are completely raw. They topped it with 3 onions rings, some frozen beans and a side of mash. I sent it back to get cooked a little more and they returned it to me with parts that were still raw and an onion ring missing. Looool. Mash was tasteless. Only reason they get 3 stars is because the server was very nice and the manager compensated our dishes that were sent back. My pic shows my steak when it first came and my steak when it came back missing an onion ring lol

Looks good but I wish it tastes the same 😪 my vegan burger is literally worse than frozen burger from metro. The seafood from both rice and pasta order are not fresh. Mussel tastes weird and both my friends have stomach problem later that dinner. Very nice restaurant but I won't come back.

I work at a long term care home The pickle barrel donated tons of meals twice a day everyday to my work when we had a covid-19 outbreak. The food donated was always the best part of the day and really raised staffs moral. The food was always good and we really appreciated the donations.
